What is premium 1-to-1 coaching about?
The structure behind the StarMax Curriculum is that you can learn from the best teacher but at an affordable price by sharing the cost with other classmates.
However, parents and students have shared that there are numerous reasons why a private and exclusive 1-1 session with our tutor is preferred.
The 1-1 private coaching lessons are suitable for the following students:
1. Students who prefer to have private lessons instead of being in a group setting
2. Students taking H1 instead of H2 (as our H1 classes are usually full, do check with us for more information)
3. Students taking IB instead of A levels
4. Students who need a crash course and is running out of time
5. Students who join late and therefore need help for selected topics that he/she has missed
How is premium 1-to-1 coaching conducted?
- All the lessons are conducted by our principal tutor, Mr Charles Chow.
- The duration of each lesson is 2 hours.
- The lesson will be structured in the most effective and efficient way for the student to master a certain chapter. Exclusive lesson materials will be provided to the student.
- For students taking the national O – level or A – level examinations, they will be provided with extensive resources and a personalised lesson plan after taking a diagnostic assessment prepared by the tutor.
- Students can fix a timing weekly, subject to the tutor’s schedule.
- 1 – to – 1 private tutoring classes will be held at either Bukit Timah or Zoom.
- Students may opt for sessions to be conducted at their residence with a transport charge of $20/session.
- The lessons may be conducted on an ad – hoc basis or a long – term basis. For long – term basis, a minimum of 4 lessons will be billed at the start of every month.
- As our tutor only take in a very limited nubmer of private students, please contact us in advance if you would like a specific timeslot for 2023.
